The title of this article is both tongue-in-cheek and it makes a vitally important point. Over the last ten years or so, I have been aggressively using a combination of diet, imaging techniques and very effective medications to treat abnormal cholesterol and other lipid disorders. It is these disorders that are a prime cause of heart attacks and strokes and other devastating diseases due to the build-up of plaque in our arteries from what is called atherosclerosis. Yes, these things are serious. They are devastating and very common.
The title is tongue-in-cheek because none of what I am telling you is actually a secret. This information, for the most part, is readily available if you know where to look. But this knowledge is VASTLY underutilized. It is so underutilized that it may as well be a secret. Very few non-medical people know about it. There are not even many physicians who have much awareness of it for a variety of reasons that I will not go into here.
The reason for this article is that after using this medical technology very aggressively in my office practice, I have seen a very dramatic drop in the number of my patients who have strokes or heart attacks as well as other diseases due to atherosclerosis. I see less than twenty-five percent of what I used to see in my practice, and my practice is as big as it has ever been. I believe you owe it to yourself to spend the time and effort to assimilate this knowledge.
I originally was going to try to put this into this blog post. My posts are already way too long (I am working on that ;-)), so I decided to put the information into a mini-book form in a page at the top of my blog page next to “home.” The page has the same title as this blog article. The article was from seven type-written pages, so this will give you some idea of the time investment that it might need.
I hope you will read it and you will comment here. If you think it is sufficiently useful, please copy it and give it out to others.
With my wishes to you for a long, satisfying and healthy life,
Chuck
thanks for such an interesting article. Also shared it with my friend
your friend Ralph
Thanks, Ralph, I am hoping that this article will get widely shared. It has been a bit frustrating seeing how such a simple approach can have so much benefit and not be able to get the word out about it effectively. I am hoping this blog will be the solution for these kinds of ideas!
